History

FMS Fire and Security Ltd. are an independent fire and security systems provider located in Loanhead, Midlothian. The company was established in 1990 with two Partners, both of which are still with the Company today, operating in the domestic security and small commercial fire alarm markets. The Company grew substantially through successfully winning commercial contracts and became a Limited Company in 1999.

The company has grown significantly over the last 22 years and now employs 38 full time staff across back office functions and technical engineers and continues to invest heavily in its staff ensuring that FMS continue to grow as a Company and indeed has enjoyed continued growth year on year for the last ten years. We have a continual recruitment process and have increased our work force by at least 10% per year over the last five years throughout all departments.

FMS Fire and Security Ltd. now provide a full range of services including: consultancy, design, tender, installation, commissioning with training, maintenance and service for single, integrated and multi-discipline electronic fire and security systems. These systems incorporate fire detection, fire extinguishing systems, intruder alarms, closed circuit television, access control and voice evacuation systems, as well as gates, barriers and turnstiles.

FMS are still an independent supplier and as such are not obliged to market and sell one particular manufacturers fire or security equipment and can therefore provide the best solution to suit our customers’ needs.

We have partnerships in place with all of the major suppliers and manufacturers across our range of services and we are a preferred supplier for more than two of the largest fire alarm equipment suppliers. Our partnerships with market leading suppliers is of paramount importance to us and we benefit from the success of these partnerships by means of accessing the latest training on existing and new products within the marketplace.
